Linda Gartner’s dream comes true – AGAIN!
The Sycamore Community Summer Singers relives the director’s dream once again, this time with a performance tour to Spain!
Performance venues include Barcelona, Madrid, Montserrat, Valencia and Toledo. (No, not that Toledo.)
Guided by the charming Caro Uhlemann-Short of New Horizons Tour & Travel, Inc., the Summer 2009 Tour to Spain should be a promising one. Gartner and the SCSS have been involved in intense weekly rehearsals, working on challenging yet entertaining choral repertoire. When they aren’t exercising their vocal cords, they put on their dancing shoes and work hard on choreography for a rhythmically amusing arrangement of Gershwin numbers entitled Rhapsody in Rhythm.
The SCSS leaves for their Spain tour on June 9 and return to Cincinnati on June 18.
Till then, they will be doing their best to make this performance tour the most spectacular ever.
And it all started with a dream.

Alyssa, you are too kind! And obviously, I’m to crazy for having volunteered to create a website! But, seriously… I LOVE IT!
Thanks, Alyssa – for YOUR contribution to SCSS! Your hard work is an inspiration.

Thanks, Mrs G – but credit where credit’s due: The Countdown Clock is what we’d call a WIDGET – and it was created by some imaginative geek from WIDGETBOX.com
… I just stole it. Sorta.

Hey Ryan! Thanks for dropping by the SCSS site! Like you, I’m thrilled about the trip to Spain – and can’t wait till June 9!
Yes, this site will be displaying videos soon! If you have any to share, the best way might be upload to YouTube (create an account first) – and then send me the link.
I’ll be more than glad to zap it up on this website. Thanks again, Ryan!

Hey Mr. Thio! This is a pretty stellar website! I’ll try and get some of Erin’s pictures from last trip on here as well as some of my own pictures from a trip I took to Italy/Greece last year if that’s alright because I’m still a newby in SCSS and I don’t have pictures of my own from any of the past trips, so I hope that’s okay…
Anyways I’ll try my hardest to get the pictures on here soon but it’ll probably take me a little while to figure it out because I have a difficult relationship with technology:)
thanks so much Mr. Thio you’re awesome!!

Thanks for your input, Megan! No worries about the pictures – I’m sure there will be loads of pictures and Kodak moments coming my way from those who did have a chance to go to SCSS trips in the past! I’m so glad you’re part of the SCSS!

Hey Mr. Thio!
Great site! Any way you could post an electronic copy (PDF file?) of the invitation for the Welcome Home Concert? I’m sure many of us (me!) would love to send it out in an email to invite others to the concert! If not, I’ll figure out another way! Thank you.
