We’re Here
Dear Families and Friends at Home!
I cannot believe that we finally made it. Never did I think we would be flying to AMSTERDAM!!!! That lucky Atlanta bunch had zero problems! You must know that the JFK/Amsterdam group was phenomenal at CVG until 8:30 p.m last night. Finally we lifted off and began our adventure! After many turbulent times and 8.5 hours later we touched down in HOLLAND of all places. What a GREAT airport….too bad we didn’t have time to shop! We went through passport control, security and made our way to the gate. Just enough time to recharge a couple of cell phones and make a rest room break and then back on the KLM flight to BARCELONA…..only 6 hours late!!!! NOT BAD! I was SO thankful that all 36 of us were able to travel together. The Delta agent at CVG was WONDERFUL….Brian….trust me, his supervisor will be getting an email from me once we get home.
Caro met us at the airport in Barcelona….not a single lost suitcase from any of us! We made our way to our hotel and our very own Ryan Sess was outside the front door to capture our arrival on his video camera! The ATL bunch had time to get lunch, ba ck to the rooftop pool and showers before we arrived. THOSE LUCKY PEOPLE!
The rest of us checked in (great hotel), showered, put our happy faces back on and away we went. (Some of us found our first magnum bar!!!!)
Our excursion took us to the Sagrada Familia….one incredible structure. Look it up! THEN Dinner! A great meal served with wonderful efficiency! One soft drink, no ice!
Welcome to Europe!
The weather today was GORGEOUS! I”m sure Thio will post pictures soon!
Tomorrow breakfast is from 7-9:45…..want to guess what time most of our group will be at breakfast?????
Off for a day tour, free time for shopping, eating, then our first concert.
More to follow. Just a bit tired tonight!
THANKS AGAIN to all of our moms and dads for making this possible.
Signing off,
Gartner
