Barcelona via Amsterdam: UPDATE

UPDATE (as of 2:30pm, June 9)
SCSS encountered its first hiccup of the trip. The group that was supposed to leave from CVG to JFK was delayed for an hour due to weather conditions in NY. Delta agents considered all options and finally agreed (with Gartner’s consent) to reroute this group of 36 SCSS members to Barcelona VIA AMSTERDAM. The other group left to Atlanta as planned and will arrive in Barcelona as scheduled.
The following is the change of flight information for Gartner’s group:
Delta 42 Depart CVG at 750pm; Arrive Amsterdam at 1015am
Change flights to KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
KL 1667 Depart Amsterdam at 12pm; Arrive Barcelona at 2:15pm
Gartner has never been more proud of this group: they have showed a healthy sense of flexibility in the situation that presented itself this afternoon. All SCSS members (kids and adults alike) are safe. We all had our lunches at the Food Court and from my observations, the change in flight plans did nothing to phase the kids! We now await our flight to Barcelona (via Amsterdam) at 7:5opm tonight! – Alex Thio
