Day 7
Dear all, how can it be????? Day 7 already! This morning we all attended a lace making class. Half of the group went at 8:30 and the other half at 10:30. The 830 class was the covetednone so that they would have more shopping time. However when they received their wake up call I wonder how happy they were????
. Such an absolutely beautiful city. Many were able to go into the big church And see michaelangelo Madonna and child. Beautiful! Taking a brief respite in my room before we head out with comcert attire in hand and walk to our performance location for a rehearsal from3:30 to 4:30. Then a brief walk to dinner then back to the church for our full performance. I’m hoping that we get back to the hotel by 9:30 at the latest so they can quickly pack and GO TO BED since we have to be on the buses at 6:45 am. Driving to Brussels to get the eurostar for London! Another adventure! We have all of their passports in one suitcase divided by buses. Tomorrow they get them back so that we can go through passport control for the UK. I’m going to position Mr Harris and Mrs Pittman on the other side to collect them immediately and put back in our special suitcase until we need them for heathrow. We can absolutely manage almost anything except foe someone losing their passport!! If you ever come to Bruges you must stay at this Novotel. Outstanding!!!!!! A much different experience from the chateau. However, the kids would say they miss banana grams from the chateau! You should order one from amazon.com for your family! A great game! Your kids would love it. Think good thoughts/say a little prayer for the ultimate of stamina for us all tomorrow!!!!!! It will be worth it.
I wish you could have been at the lace class this am. Even the BOYS like it! Absolutely fascinating.
again, thank you for helping to make this all possible. I know you will love hearing them at our welcome home concert next week.
Will try to blog tonight after the concert….
OH I MUST SHARE THIS……..the priest told someone yesterday that when we sang in Latin he could not detect any American in us at all!!!!! the ultimate in compliments for our singers!!!!!!?
Now I go….

LInda,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share stories and pix of this amazing trip. I just have to say that I loved traveling with the group in Spain, but I am SO SAD that we are not with you this time. C’es la vie! Can’t wait to hear the concert on the 23rd.
Blessings on all–
Jodi
Good morning from Cincinnati! I have been following your incredible adventures all week and wish I were there! What a journey for each and every one of you! Have fun, breathe in the scenery, dive into the culture, and sing with Aviator pride (so Gartner can’t say “I told you so” about not listening to her rant “GO TO BED”)! Many thanks for representing Sycamore with your beautiful voices.
See you at the Welcome Home Concert!!
“Stamina” is the prayer for today (altho it’s probably already tomorrow there!). Of course, the adrenalin rush from the amazing things you’re doing should keep you going! BTW, very nice compliment from the priest about your Latin!
Local news, Karen Mantia is the new superintendent of the Lakota Schools!!
I do read the blog every day. Love it. See you all soon.
What a great performance in Bruges!
So Beautifull, Magic!!
The circle was amazing!!!
Angel voices!!
You “must” come back to Belgium!!!
It can not end with this one evening…
Give a big concert when you ever come back to Belgium!!!
Congratulations from the bottom of my heart.
A fan of “for the beauty of the earth”!!
Thank you for this fantastic evening.

I cannot believe it has been 7 days already, it seems we were just waving goodbye. Reading these blogs keeps us feeling so connected. I can’t wait to read the next one. Thanks so much for taking the time to post these, it means the world to us back here:)
I can hardly believe the trip is over…what will I do without my morning blog and updates? This has been a wonderful experience for me, as I am experiencing the sites and food via the web…not nearly as good but I have a great imagination:) I pray that you all have a great concert tonight and that London is spectacular! Enjoy. Take it all in, as your departure will be bitter-sweet. Hugs to all from the USA, especially one for Kelsey Green!
Thanks again for keeping us all in the “loop”. This has ben the best “wake me up” ever with my morning coffee!
Oh, wouldn’t it be nice if – either during or after the concert here on the 23rd – a few of the students could give brief, memorable stories of their trip! I know we would be open to staying later for that!
We couldn’t be more pleased for all you (the entire group) are experiencing day to day. Thanks so much for sharing and love & continued good wishes to our “Dear Grands”, Elizabeth and James Reece. Gramma & Granddaddy Wise
