Day 3

Bonjour mes Amis!
We are on the bus to Normandy and the American cemetery. I must say that this group, adults included, are turning into outstanding travelers. They are happy when they get more than 6 hours of sleep. They are eating well and hydrating. Or course with all of the discussions of hydrating they have turned into the most frequent visitors of WC’s!!!!! We are always on the lookout…. And they have finally learned that when you have two hours of free time that you always incorporate a bathroom break.

We had two hours at the Louvre this morning. It was great to see their eyes open when their history books came alive to them. Of course there were the questions from many why all of the statues were naked…..”didn’t they have clothes back them????”. Gotta love them!

Today should be an incredible experience for all of us. I’m sure that it will be one of those memories that we will all never forget. Will try to post a picture this evening from our performance.

Just got back on the bus after our lunch break. Only in Europe would you find such excellent cuisine at a road side rest stop. (see picture below).

Everyone took a little snooze on bus 1 and even Mr. Alexander slept a bit on bus 2 so you know we were tired. FYI It’s not good to fall asleep on a bus when there is always at least one person just waiting to take your picture with your mouth hanging open.

I’m so proud of all of the kids and parents. They are looking out for each other. They are mingling. They are truly getting to KNOW one another. This is the best part of group travel. And our blue shirts look really good!!!!!

Almost to the American cemetery. Rain has begun but we are prepared with our travel umbrellas. No problems!

American cemetery. I cannot even begin to put into words the experience that we had this afternoon. Maybe the pictures can be my 1000 words.

Arrived at the chateau. The kids are loving it. I’m sitting here listening to music that has to be far louder than any of us ever need to listen to. Again the kids are love it.

This is it for today. Tomorrow Mt St Michel .
More memories just waiting to be made.
