Remembering Spain: Aaron Natarus

Remembering Spain: Aaron Natarus

aaron-and-friends

My trip to Spain was not like any other vacation I have been on before. Not only did we travel to Spain as tourists, but we went to sing as well. Also all of the people that were apart of the trip greatly influenced the outcome.

The first day that we were in Spain touring I greatly enjoyed myself and thought this trip was well worth it. I was actually in Spain! Then the next day when we had our first concert in a cathedral, I realized that this is the reason that we practiced so hard during the entire year and that touring Spain was just an additional experience.

Everywhere we went in Spain I thought was amazing. The only part that was a little disappointing was the Olympic size pool that we weren’t allowed to put our head under water in. Even the 3 hour train ride and 3 and half hour bus ride were fun because of the people that were on the trip.

This was my first time out of the country and I will never forget this experience. A lot of people have asked me what my favorite part of the trip to Spain was. I always answer the same way which is I wouldn’t be able to tell you. The touring was important because without touring Spain we wouldn’t have been able to pick up on the culture in Spain. Then without the singing it would have been just a regular trip that was in Spain and the singing was an amazing experience.

I wouldn’t be able to pick my favorite concert because all of them were meaningful in their own way. Even the one in the small auditorium was meaningful because smiles and fun were radiating throughout the room that can’t even be explained. Then all of the people that went on the trip made this trip what it was. And the trip was amazing. It is an experience that I will never forget for as long as I live.

Lastly I would like to thank Mrs. Gartner, Mr. Thio, Mr. Harris, Mr. Kreiner, and Mrs. Pittman for all that you do. I would like to thank all of the parent chaperones and all of the other members of the SCSS choir that made this possible. And I would like thank my parents for letting me go on this trip and paying for it. I appreciate all that you guys do.
